This is a sample podcast for jaihuaschool.com Oral Mandarin Level 2 Is This Life? - Episode 1 - Richard Heinberg - 3-22-9March 22, 2009 06:24 AM PDT
This is the first Podcast in a new series called "Is this Life?" Our guest for our debut episode is geologist and author Richard Heinberg. His Lecture is titled, Talking Ourselves to Extinction. In his talk, he speaks of the origins of language and how its development has not only helped us create our modern society, but also prevents us from moving further than we have today due to its various outgrowths, including religion and mythology. Try not to be offended as Richard puts down religious mythology, Neo-conservative philosophy, and the idiocracy we see today. Luckily, he has some answers for how we ought to change our thinking from 'Magical' into a more 'Logical' and productive form. Enjoy! Episode 2 - Peter Dale Scott on 9/11 & War - 6-23-7March 19, 2009 07:40 AM PDT
From the archives of the Vancouver 9/11 Truth Society, here is a historical speech made by former professor of English at the University of California Berkeley, Peter Dale Scott. Prof. Scott has written several books on the topics of the JFK assassination and the US-Latin America drug trade, and most recently, has dove into the topic of 9/11. His latest book "The Road to 9/11" is by far the most revealing book on the topic of this government sponsored terrorist attack. This talk is titled "Understanding 9/11 in order to Forestall War". In it, he talks about why Dick Cheney should have been impeached for war crimes, and the real meaning of the term Continuity of Government. Episode 1 - A Song for Pinochet.March 18, 2009 07:47 PM PDT
Here is a song by 36 Crazyfists that I edited and inserted parts of an interview of former CIA Chief of Latin America, Duane Clarridge by Australian journalist and filmmaker John Pilger. Here, Mr. Clarridge speaks highly of former dictator of Chile, Augusto Pinochet. In 1998, while visiting the United Kingdom for medical treatment, Pinochet was arrested on a Spanish provisional warrant for the murder in Chile of Spanish citizens. Five days later, Pinochet was served with a yet another provisional arrest warrant charging him with systematic torture, murder, illegal detention, and forced disappearances. The case was a watershed event in judicial history, as it was the first time that a former dictator was arrested on the principle of universal jurisdiction. This of course, has set the stage for future arrests of similar tyrants. Hopefully, similar charges will be laid upon George W. Bush, and an arrest will be made using the very same principle of universal jurisdiction. |
